About Spurr Law LLC
Melissa Spurr founded Spurr Law in 2023 to create a boutique firm serving New Jersey businesses and families with attentive care for their transactional needs. With a focus on business, real estate and estate planning, Melissa's practice revolves around relationships, conflict prevention, and whole-picture planning.
Experience
Melissa started her practice in Finance at an international law firm based in New York City. She then went in-house to serve as counsel for a privately held multinational hospitality business based in New Jersey. She went into private practice with a firm based in New Jersey. In 2023, Melissa founded Spurr Law, located in Summit, New Jersey. Her goal is to bring her years of experience in various business planning, contracting, tax, and employment situations to help her clients develop best practices in conflict prevention and resolution, and avoid costly litigation.

Melissa is also a wife, mother of 2 girls, and engaged community volunteer. She currently serves as a Trustee (and former President) of the Board of Reeves-Reed Arboretum, is a Trustee of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation, and sits on the Summit Downtown Inc. Design & Beautification Committee. She volunteers at both her daughters' schools. She has previously served on the City of Summit Historic Preservation Commission, the City of Summit Environmental Commission, and was a co-founder of Green Summit.
